During my stay in Siquijor, we were lucky to circumference the island in a day by two-wheel drive. T'was a fun roadtrip. It would not be possible without our singing diva-esque driver Nervin.

| The brave souls set to discover a paradise |
The journey led us closer to nature with an old gigantic Balete tree. A Balete tree is believed by many to be mysterious, scary and haunted. They say that there lived different spirits in that living thing. It's creepy because of it's hugeness, span of it's leaves, and hanging roots.

On the foot of the tree is a basin of water. It's used by the community living near as their source of water in cleaning their clothes and other things and for bathing. There was also a big blue fish living in the area. It's maybe the spirit or guardian of the tree. The place also offers a free foot spa by the school of tiny fishes. I've seen in malls that they offer Php150.00 for 30 minutes foot spa. It looks interesting but I haven't tried. I was driven by my curiosity that made me try the experience. It's feeling? It tickles your feet which in turn makes you chuckle. But make sure you do not move too much because you might scare the fishes and they'll swim away.
