I slept late last night because I was busy uploading right away our pictures. I do not have extra memory card for the camera and I was anticipating that we will be having bunch of pictures the following day. The weather in HK that night was cold in 21 degrees celsius. It was really cold and my insomnia was not able to visit me during my sleep. But the thing is, our room was smelling spices and curry food because there were Indian restaurants in the fourth floor. Before the smell disappears, it took a visit in our room and vanished in the air. Morning.

I was grateful that the subway has a mirror.

We were energized and ready for some action. Our first stop was the Avenue of the Stars just by the bay of HK. We passed through the Clock Tower and the HK Cultural Centre. There were a lot of beautiful scenery in the avenue and it is a long road to walk on. In the place, you will be feeling like a real star because of its gimmicks along the way.

Before we finished the long walk in the avenue, it rained moderately with strong winds. I was able to capture a moment of that.

Her struggle was perfectly captured
through my lens.

We head next to Kowloon Park. The place was beautiful and full of trees. The place was cool. There were masterpieces displayed in the park which is made of steel and clay. There was also a mini maze. A fountain. Various animals were found in the park like ducks, turtles, birds and flamingos. The flamingos were beautiful with their pink and white color and with their super skinny legs. We also saw a man who was painting realistically. It was a nice place.

Welcome tourists
We are trapped!
Me and my cousin were trying to scare the doves to have a Venice like
effect picture with them as our background.
Beautiful creatures

Our calves are already aching but we need to continue this once in a life time experience in HK. There was no room for being tired. We need to push ourselves but it was worth the walk and stroll. We then move on to our next destination which was the Ladies Market in Mong Kok. We are planning to buy presents for our friends in PH. In order to reach the place, my cousin brought us to the MTR or the train station in HK which was below the street level or underground. That was my first time to ride and see a train. The place was filled with lots of people walking so fast and seems so busy as if they are late for their appointment. The station has lots of sections and you need to know what letter are you going. The experience was fun because if the train has already arrived, you need to run for your life just to be on board. Waiting for the next train takes 5 minutes. Inside the vehicle, there were limited seats and people were mostly standing up holding a pole. The ride was not too long. It was traffic free. We arrived in Mong Kok in less than 5 minutes from Tsim Sha Tsui. Can you imagine that? It was awesome.

The ticket that brought us in and out of MTR.

Stalls were lined up in the street and there were many. You cannot blame yourself if you bought an ugly item because you have a lot of options to choose from. When you look to the left, you see it. To the right, there it is. My cousin gave us a tip not to buy items immediately. Well, we cannot still afford them because it is expensive. Though it is priced 100HKD but when converted to my mother currency it would become 500PHP. Expensive because we are not rich. My father bought shirts at 5 pieces for a hundred HKD. My cousins bought shirts too. My father bought me 2 pieces for a 150HKD. I can recall what our Mandarin professor had said that Chinese vendors offer you a great deal if you start to walk away from their stall so as if you are not contented with their price. It was true! I entered a stall because I wanted to buy a luggage tag and was priced at 20HKD a piece. When I walked away, the vendor shouted and offered me 8 pieces for 100HKD. Isn't it a good deal? But, I still did not buy. A memory that I would not forget in the market was when I was looking at a sun glass. The item was small for me. I started to walk away but the lady grabbed my arms and pressed it so hard with her long nails. It resulted to a wound.

Items were expensive in the stall, why not enter in surplus shops?
Thrifty. But still the stalls won our hearts.

We went back to our apartment at around 5 in the afternoon. We rested our legs for a while to fetch my mom at the airport later. The whole day walk made my legs weak and numb. It was almost 6 in the evening and we need to go to the airport. Me and my cousin rode the bus of A21 sign. The travel took an hour before we reached the place. We set our selves in the arrival exit A which we were expecting them to arrive. It was the same place where my cousin fetched us. I was excited to see my mom. An hour later, we still have not seen the face of my mom. Negative thoughts started to sink in. I continued to look up the arrival screen and it says that their plane arrived at 17:00 hour and the time is almost 8. Until such time, my cousin's phone sounded and it was a message coming from my mom at which they were located. We tried to search for them and poof, we found them. The feeling was great to see my mom and our family friend arrive. They have experienced a lot while they were inside the immigration and the baggage section. We have not found them in exit A because they passed in exit B. Oh good Lord. This was the result of the HK immigration officers not speaking in English. Signages were found over the place but it is not enough for a first time tourist to depend on arrows. Communication was a better tool.

The lost tourists. My cousin is in the middle.
We had our dinner @ 9PM. A very hungry dinner.
Rice is limited in our dinner. It was mostly protein rich foods.
The egg tart was the highlight.
