Good Feeling

She is the mother of my mother - my grandmother. In our dialect, we call our grandmothers as "lola".

My lola arrived in our home last Friday. She came here for a purpose and that is to have her one month cough be checked-up by the doctor. Nothing has changed in my lola except she became a bit thin.

A little story of her stay here in our home. Because she just recently arrived, she is unknown to our two healthy pet dogs(Kingkang & Pipiss). When our dogs see her, when she moves, when she looks at our dogs and when she coughs, she's barked. But there's nothing to worry because our dog never never bites. They just bark at persons whom they don't know or usually see.

Late this evening, I opened my laptop and was waiting for the slow internet connection to be steady. There was an idea that popped-up in my mind, "Why not teach my lola how to type"? At first, my lola was hesitant because she doesn't know how to use and hasn't touched a laptop ever since. Tonight marks her first encounter of a laptop and learning on how to type. The teaching process was easy and she also learned quickly. She typed the first letter of her name and pressed the letter too long resulting to multiple series of v's. I also taught her how to erase those mistyped letters, how to put spaces in between words and how to add a new line space. Because she's not familiar with the positioning of the letters in the keyboard, then I guided her letter by letter until she completed her name. I did save her work and will never delete it. This is her achievement:

She had a big smile on her face when she saw the fruit of her effort. Seeing her smile made me feel so happy and proud of her.

As long as you live, you never stop to learn. Learning never requires age.
