Cause + Spirit

Dancing is a talent in me and I love it. I consider dancing as a form of self-expression. It's how you show your identity to others in the dance floor. But I have this certain weakness when dancing, I don't know how to dance like a man. The dance figures that I can confidently execute are the flirty and girly one's. I feel so awkward when dancing figures that involves masculinity and tensions.

Cheerdance. It's a different style of dancing. I was once a member of a cheerdance team way back in high school. It was a learning experience and I had great fun. Here's a cheerdance team which I am really proud of. They are bringing the name of our country and I am proud to brag the University of the Philippines PEP Squad. Recently, the UAAP Cheerdance competition happened. I was not able to watch it live in the television. Thanks to Youtube whose always there.

There were 8 participating schools who joined the most awaited competition of the year and UP was the defending champion. With their performance last Saturday, they never failed to impress me though there was a flaw at the end of their dance routine. While watching the video, I had lots of goose-bumping moments. You can feel their passion, love and determination for dancing. They had their heads shaved (no excuse for women) for their brilliant cause of making it a wig and donate it to the cancer patients. Aside from that, their routines were synchronized. The tumblings and flips were sharp. The pyramids were well executed and formed. Plus they had their undying energy, spirit and the fans. With those mentioned, would you think that they'd lose? If yes, then see THIS for yourself and prove me wrong.
